The first By Air, By Rail Festival was held July, 2005 at Mt. Vernon Intermediate School as a way of promoting the chamber and its members. It included 6 Hot Air Balloons, 8500 sq. ft. of model train displays, a single LEGO display, and a handful of vendors.

Over the years, the festival has grown greatly. Last year the festival housed over 10,000 square feet of model trains and even more LEGO displays and vendors. The chamber plans on holding the festival for at least another 10 years. This site is still under construction, so all links may not completely work.
