Slipknot
Slipknot's at it again this year. They are beginning the recording of their new album, which is said to be their heaviest album of them yet. They have previously put out four records. Mate Feed Kill Repeat (MFKR), which was self distributed and was under a different singer than the current mastermind Corey Taylor. There was also Slipknot, Iowa, and their latest release in 2004 entitled The Subliminal Versus: Volume 3. The band has taken a three to four year break to cope with the stresses of being in Slipknot, the family, the band, the sensation. Lucky for Slipknot fanatics, this new album should be hitting shelves in early fall. Of course, everyone is expecting a masterpiece, as always, and that's almost a definite with Slipknot.
They have also just relased information that they're going otbe headlining the Rockstar Mayhem Fest (see below for details).
Local Story
The local band Something To Call A Hero has recently released a CD entitled "The World Can Wait." It is undoubtedly amazing. From song one to song ten it has you singing the songs for weeks on end. This is one CD you can listen to non-stop and it will never get old.

Korn - Untitled
There newest album out of many is a stride to the left for Korn. With slow songs such as "Kiss" on the album it seems the boys are getting soft. Their hit "Evolution" takes that idea and takes it a step back. While it's not thier heaviest, or best album, it has varieties of the greatness that only Korn can give you. Not amazingly impressive, but a buy indeed.

Family Values Tour
Lets face it. Korn plays a good show, they pick people to play good shows with them, they put together a show everyone one wants to see. Family Values is a yearly tour, which always has the hottest bands. Recently, Flyleaf, 10 Years, Deadsy, and Stone Sour have been involved, and with those bands by themselves they're still sensational. For more information: www.familyvaluestour.com |

Marylin Manson - Eat Me, Drink Me
Pure geneous. Heavy, soft, creepy, basically typical Manson. This CD has it all. From the cussing, to the drugs, to the just plain weird, Manson delievers himself very well. "If I Was Your Vampire" is a single of the newest album which has a variety of levels. There's the heavy parts, the slow parts, the breakdowns, just everything that you would want Manson to deliver, he did. This is a must buy. Not a Manson fan? You will be after this.
