A little history...

Little do people today know, but the Green Lantern is not only one person. Yet, the Green Lantern is actually an intergalactic police force. This force and all of its containing members possess a power ring, which is their logo (as seen above), and a power lantern. These two objects that they all contain give them great control over the physical world, so long as the wielder has the power to do so. The ring became known as the most dangerous and powerful weapons in the universe. And how they became chosen for such a position was the doings of the Guardians of the Universe. With all the power that is granted to them, they are The Green Lantern Corps.
