Fira was a gift from Professor Oak as congratulations for defeating the Pokémon League Champion of Kanto, Red. As he once did for Red himself, he gave me the choice of Bulbasaur, Squirtle, or Charmander. Without a moment's hesitation, I chose Charmander, because I'm a sucker for Fire-type Pokémon. Firion is currently in training; he aspires to join my Kanto All-Star Team. I think he'll make it in easy.
