A Pokémon fan site where Pokémon ROM game players can trade Pokémon made with a program called Pokésav. People can meet online in a forum and “trade” Pokémon by posting .pkm files on individual threads. Upon the mutual downloading of each partner's respective file, the thread is immediately deleted in order to prevent outsiders getting free 'Mon.
Because I'm a Trainer! I love Pokémon and I wanted to do my project based on something I know and love. Also, I think it'd be cool to play with other peoples' Pokécreations.
I know quite a bit about Pocket Monster lore. I don't consider myself an expert, but I am knowledgeable enough to be a sort of authority. One of the best experiences to be had with Pokémon is trading and connecting with friends and strangers globally. Knowing this, I'd like to try giving people the opportunity to share their own personal creations using Pokésav. Pokésav is a program that can be downloaded from another fan site, Pokéstation. The program allows you to custom-build a Pokémon from scratch, then save them as .PKM files that are made exclusively for Pokémon games and Pokésav. These files can then be transfered to a ROM game directly, or sent to an online community where it can be traded to any game. Imagine having a fire-breathing Bulbasaur, or an Exploding Pikachu. The possibilities are endless!
Pokémon is meant for all ages; however, the main audience for the game is younger children. Therefore, the site will be completely family friendly, but not too much so.
I'm starting by collecting some .pkm files that I've made myself. I should have enough free samples by Saturday the twelfth. Once there, I will collect graphic files from my own documents and from online sources and have them most likely by next Wednesday or Thursday. I'm not sure how to implement forums, but I will look into it. An alternate plan if I'm pressed for time is to simply have a database page (or two) with all the Pokésav files I have made or collected from others. Viewers can send in their own if they wish by email or similar, and I can post them in the database. If the latter, then the database can be done during the basic coding. I will have the basic code for the pages done by next Thursday. CSS is currently unscheduled, but I will begin on it as soon as I have completely finished my html and graphics.

Pokéstation is the first site I found related to Pokésav. In fact, the site is the birthplace of Pokésav!
It features an online version of the program for Generation IV (Diamond, Pearl, Platinum, HeartGold, SoulSilver)
and Generation V (Black, White), a download page for an executable application called PokéApp, a database
containing .pkm files for every single last Pokémon ever made, and more!

PokEdit is a site that revolves around the editing of save files using Pokésav, then implementing said save
file into a physical Pokémon game cartridge. This is the answer for people who wish they couldn’t only edit ROM
save files. Users can buy a DS game that has their custom save file on it. The concept is pretty cool, and I
would like to know how they do it.
