The Voice is a TV show that is a music competititon. There are four teams, each led by a star coach. For example this season has Blake Shelton, Shakira, Adam Levine, and Usher.
First the show goes through blind auditions, where people are selected by the coaches just by the sound of their voice. Then it goes to the "battle rounds."
The Battle Rounds are teamate vs teamate to narrow down the teams, then it goes to live shows where American narrows it down to a single winner.
