The cloud is gonna repalce traditional hard drives. This sounds good, but it gives your data to these cloud companies. And these cloud companies could be hacked. Do you know what can't be hacked? Physical hard drives.
THe internet is trying to integrate graphics. I feel like the ultimate goal is to replace traditional gpu's and have gpu farms over the country to run all of our intensive tasks. I like GPU's. They are nice, and I don't want to not own one.

Despite all the shortcomings of the internet, it is still very important. Sure it is trying to replace the obviously superior hardware, but we can forgive it for that. Without the internet, the hardware would not be connected to others. The internet is vital for connectivity because it is connectivity. We need the internet, and eventually the internet will replace everything once it becomes more reliable.
