More things I learned

Additional things I learned from this weeks' reading

  1. What browser cookies are and how to limit what websites can use them.
  2. How my privacy on the web is important.
  3. How the Web has changed over the years.
  4. How useing an outdated browser can be dangerous.

The Web is constantly changing and it is important to adapt to these changes to help create a better web.
evolving

Always having an updated browser is import so I no longer need to have certain plug-ins and extensions since the Browser can perform functions like viewing 3D images and Games without them.

Other Vocabulary from the reading

Phishing - When someone masquerades as someone else to trick you into sharing personal information.

IP address - A series of numbers that tell us where a particular device is on the Internet network.

DNS (Domain Name System)- Like a "phone book" of the Web. DNS translates a URL into the right IP address to contact.
