Installing ActiveState ActivePerl for Windows
Note:
Before installing ActiveState ActivePerl for Windows, be sure that
you have read the ACTIVEPERL SYSTEM REQUIREMENTS, available at
http://aspn.activestate.com/ASPN/Downloads/ActivePerl/Requirements

IMPORTANT NOTE:
There are two executable files included in this CD-ROM for ActivePerl installation.
The file names are:

ActivePerl-5.6.1.628-MSWin32-x86-multi-thread.msi
-
ActivePerl-5.6.1.628-MSWin32-x86-multi-thread.zip
The Zip file contains an AS installation package and
SHOULD ONLY BE USED IF AND ONLY IF THE MSI FILE WILL NOT INSTALL.
INSTALLING ActivePerl BY USING THE AS INSTALLATION PACKAGE
DOES NOT HAVE AN UNINSTALL FEATURE.

MODULES, PACKAGES & EXTENSIONS: The ActiveState Repository has a large
collection of modules and extensions in binary packages that are easy to install
and use. To view and install these packages, use the Perl Package Manager (PPM)
which is included with ActivePerl.

ACTIVEPERL & ACTIVESTATE: ActivePerl is the latest Perl binary distribution
from ActiveState and replaces what was previously distributed as Perl for Win32.
The latest release of ActivePerl as well as other professional tools for Perl
developers are available from the ActiveState web site at
