How To

The Bowl 1. Draw a circle on the ground plane at the origin. 2. Move the cursor to the origin. 3. Move the cursor up the blue axis (above the circle on the ground plane). The cursor should turn green or red. 4. Press and hold the Shift key to lock the Circle tool in the green or red inference direction. 5. Draw a circle perpendicular to the circle on the ground plane. 6. Use the Offset tool to create an offset of this second circle. 7. Use the Line tool to divide the second circle in half. 8. Use the Eraser tool to erase the top half of the second circle. You are creating the profile of the bowl. 9. Use the Eraser too to erase the face that represents the inside of the bowl. 10. Select the edge of the circle on the ground plane. 11. Select the Follow-Me tool and click on the profile of the bowl. 12. Remove the circle on the ground plane.

The Sphere 1. Use the Circle tool to draw a circle on the ground plane. 2. With the Circle tool still selected, hover until the circle cursor turns red or green. 3. Press and hold the Shift key to lock that inference direction. 4. Draw a second circle inside the first, but make it a little smaller than the first. 5. Then use the Select tool to select the face of the first, larger circle. 6. Select the Follow Me tool and click the face of the second, smaller circle. A sphere should result. 7. Use the Erase tool to erase a point on the edge of the first, larger, circle.

The Ellipse 1. Draw a circle with the Circle tool. 2. Select the Scale tool. The cursor will change to a box within another box. 3. Click on the circle. Scaling grips will appear around the circle. 4. Click and hold one of the grips in the middle of one of the bounding box edges (not one of the corner grips). 5. Move the cursor away from the center of the circle. The circle will form an ellipse.

The Cone 1. Use the Circle tool to draw a circle on the ground plane. 2. Then use the Push/Pull tool to pull up the circle and create a cylinder. 3. Select the Move/Copy tool and point at a point along edge at top of cylinder corresponding with red or green axis. 4. Click that point and pull it into the center of the circle to make a cone.

The Pyramid 1. Use the Rectangle tool to draw a square. 2. Use the Line tool to draw a diagonal line across the face of the square. 3. Hover the Line tool above the diagonal line and move until light blue inference point indicates center of diagonal line. 4. Draw a line from the center point to one of the remaining corners of the square. 5. Find the center point of the diagonal line again and draw a line from the center to last remaining corner of the square. 6. The Move/Copy tool and hover over the center point until a green inference point is displayed. 8. Click the centerpoint, start pulling up, click the Up Arrow key to lock the move in the blue direction. 9. Continue pulling up until you reach the desired height, and then click to finish the move.

The Inner Tube 1. Draw a circle on the ground plane at the origin. 2. Use the Select tool to select the face of the circle and press the Delete key. 3. Select the Circle tool. 4. Move the cursor to the origin. The cursor should snap to the origin. 5. Move the cursor up the blue axis (above the circle on the ground plane). The cursor should turn green or red. 6. Hold the Shift key to lock the Circle tool to lock the inference direction. 7. Draw another circle(diameter will be diameter of your inner tube and perpendicular to first circle). 8. Select the edge of the circle on the ground plane. 9. Select the Follow-Me tool. 10. Click on the profile of the inner tube.

The Engraved Text 1.Click the "Rectangle" tool. 2. Draw a large rectangle surface. 3. Open the "Tools" menu and select "3D Text." 4. Enter your text and select your desired font options. 5. Make sure that the box next to "Extruded" is checked, and enter a negative value for the extrusion, such as -1. 6. Click the "Place" button. 7. Click your mouse on the rectangular surface you made in Step 1 to place the 3D Text. 8. Right-click (On a Mac, press Ctrl + click) on the 3D Text and select "Explode" from the menu. 9. Select a letter that is co-planar with the rectangular surface and press the Delete key. 10. Repeat Step 9 until all the co-planar letters have been deleted.

The Dilly Bar 1. Click the Rectangle tool and expand to look like a pop-cicle stick. 2. Select the push/pull tool and select the rectangle to desired height. 3. Next click the arc tool and expand the top to look like a dome. 4. Use the same tool to arc out the bottom to connect to the top. 5. Select the push/pull tool once again and raise the circled portion of the ice cream treat. 6. Color and enjoy.

The Robot Head 1. Click on the Rectangle tool and expand to desired size. 2. Select push/pull and raise to desired height. 3. Click the Circle tool to draw the two eyes and put them in place. 4. Next select the arc tool to draw the pupils of the eyes and connect to the bottom of the recently made eyes. 5. Now use the line tool to draw the mouth. 6. Use the same tool for the nose and draw a triangle. 7. Lastly use the orbit tool to move the the side of the face to use the arc tool to draw the ear.

The Snow Man 1. Repeat the steps used to make a sphere three times (make sure that the 2 spheres following the first one made are placed on top of the first one, not behind it). 2. Select the circle tool to create the three buttons and two eyes. 3. Select the line tool and draw the mouth.
